Trecutul simplu

(Past simple)

Introducere

Folosim trecutul simplu pentru a vorbi despre:

• acțiuni finalizate în trecut
• obiceiuri din trecut
• evenimente din trecut
• perioade din trecut.

Putem preciza când sau pentru cât timp au avut loc aceste acțiuni.

Exemple:

• I visited London last week.
• He wore glasses when he was young.
• Mary lived in Paris for six months.

Forma afirmativă a trecutului simplu

Verbele regulate primesc terminația "–ed" la trecutul simplu.

De exemplu:

I You He / She / It We They	walked to the office.
	played tennis.
	laughed.
	washed the car.
	(worry =) worried all day.

Verbele neregulate la timpul trecut simplu sunt diferite și trebuie învățate separat!

De exemplu:

I You He / She / It We They	fell off the wall.
	forgot the keys.
	left work early.
	bought some new clothes.

Forma negativă a trecutului simplu

Pentru a crea o propoziție la forma negativă folosim
"didn't (did not)" + infinitivul verbului principal (fără "to")


De exemplu:

I You He / She / It We They	didn't	buy any new shoes.
		go to work yesterday.
		play badminton last night.

Forma interogativă a trecutului simplu

Pentru a formula o întrebare folosim
"did" + infinitivul verbului principal (fără "to")

Nu uitați să folosiți "did" înainte de subiect: "Did you", "Did he"

Did you ask her to the party?	Yes, I did. / No, I didn't (did not).
Did he visit the office yesterday?	Yes, he did. / No, he didn't (did not).
Did they buy a new house?	Yes, they did. / No, they didn't (did not).
